Moulded-wood chair with innovative joints
‚Wolfgang‘ belongs to a chair family that wants to be seen as an homage to two pioneers of moulded-wood development: Michael Thonet and Hans J. Wegner. Its anticlastically shaped seat shell with the nonchalantly bent front edges looks as if it had been loosely positioned on the frame. But if you know that this frame consists of a moulded-wood U, open toward the back, and that over and above that it is almost invisibly integrated in the thin-walled clicked-out leg sections, you will pay your special respect to the handcrafted achievement in view of the considerable torsional forces The innovative joining technique is a typical feature of all variants of ‚Wolfgang‘. Natural oak or beech, or varnished. Seat area also in a padded version.
