Für das Zeitungsprojekt ‚Kompakta‘, eine Diplomarbeit an der FH Münster, Fachbereich Design (Betreuer: Prof. Rüdiger Quass von Deyen), erhielt Felix Schulz beim 11. European Newspaper Award den ‚Award of Excellence‘.

Reader-friendly Format
For the ‘Kompakta’ newspaper project, a diploma task supervised by Professor Rüdiger Quass von Deyen at the Design Faculty of Münster University of Applied Sciences, Felix Schulz received the 11th European Newspaper ‘Award of Excellence’, which is regarded as the most important European award in the newspaper design and conception fields. Schulz drew up recommendations for picture and quotation layouts, choice of colours, typography and specific image-text contrast. He also proposed dividing the pages into clearly structured reading zones and using a compact format that as well as being easier to handle would appeal to a new but growing user group, the “scanners”.
