Global Design
Globalisation and its implications for different parts of society are a much-discussed issue. The ‚Global Design‘ exhibition shows the impact an increasingly globalised world has on design and how design for a globalised world is being developed. The starting point is a concept of design that comprises both architecture plus graphic, media, fashion, product and industrial design and the design of the spheres we live in or the design of production processes. A critical look is taken at networking in the areas of communication, mobility, production, trade and capital, plus globalisation in its relationship to regionalism, or the container as a main element of globalisation, or cultural transfer and global trends. The tour starts off in the “lounge of an airport”, is continued in a “shopping mall” and ends in a “harbour”.
