Reworked
A new interpretation of a classic chair
In 1987, Stuttgart-based designer Arno Votteler created the ‚S 90‘ multi-purpose chair – a real bestseller that reaped piles of design prizes into the bargain. Now he and his son have reworked the design and expanded it into a family of chairs. In addition to the two basic models, many variations came into being. The ‚LH76‘ and the ‚LH79‘ models, for instance, are now available with backrests in three different heights and in an angled or round version. Matthias Votteler explains: “Compared with the original, the chair is now lighter, both from a weight and a visual point of view.” Also, both models are now sturdier thanks to a slight slant of the back legs. Ergonomically, the backrest and the seat hollow are perfectly shaped. The chair family adapts to all requirements – be it in the domestic area, the catering or the care sector.
