A filigree wood-frame construction with a feel of the 1950s/’60s conforms to the new simplicity trend. But when it comes to careful mounting, the wheat is separated from the chaff. That is why the positive-locking transitions of pressure and tensile loads make this armchair something special. Which also applies to the solid woods used, for instance American black walnut or American white oak, while the seat and backrest paddings come in different kinds of leather. The armchair (57 x 51 x 71 cm) is part of a handcrafted collection consisting of armchair, writing desk, section console, side tables and lamps and a fine example of contemporary British design.
