Ein (Papp-)Stuhl zur Selbstmontage
Des. Viktor Matic,
Fab. Nils Holger Moormann,
Zipped up to Go
A (cardboard) chair for DIY assembly
“Yes, it really lasts. Yes, it is made of cardboard. Yes, these are cable binders. Yes, we will not change it.” Visitors cast unbelieving looks at ‚Zipfred‘ at Moormann’s stand in Hall 12. The chair is made up of six wooden parts and 2 x 10 layers of corrugated cardboard. The individual elements are held together only by 16 cable binders. True, you may get the impression that considering the broad backrest the proportions are somehow not quite right. But it is not least due to this feature that ‚Zipfred‘ is surprisingly comfortable. If traces caused by sitting (trouser buttons, purse, pocket knife) become all too visible as time goes by, you may of course remove the cardboard layers, and order a new set of cardboard to replace them.
