Jean-Marie Massaud,
Fab. Poltrona Frau spa,
Tolentino (Mc)/I,

The upholstered armchair by the French designer is both compact and graceful
Rarely has sitting been so comfortable! And the leather is so enticingly soft! In Milan, rumours made the ‚Archibald‘ armchair an insider’s tip for “completely” relaxed sitting. “Complete” meaning that the relatively small armchair (83 x 80 x 75 cm) induces its guest to sink into a loosely folded leather skin that snuggles up to the seated person like a glove. There’s no doubt about it – such a noble piece requires excellent craftsmanship. Perfection from A to Z: from tanning to upholstering to sewing. Each and every stitch of the thin seam edge is flawless. Each constructive detail is carried out with great care: the matt-grey frame (feet of cast aluminium) same as the elastic springing and the foamed padding that is covered with polyester wadding in areas which have to be especially comfortable. The curves of ‚Archibald‘ are somehow likeable.
