Abb.)
A Strong Début
Unconventional concepts for office workplaces and their lighting mark the entry of the Berlin Kinzo label into product design.
The two ‚Air 202‘ and ‚Air 101′ conceptual worktables plus the circular lamp (220 cm in dia.!) will make an impression and cause curiosity in any ambience that is not too tightly laid out. But it’s not the size that is the unique selling point of these objects; what makes them special is their sculptural, seemingly weightless volumes, their crystalline cubatures, the slants you’ll have to get used to, their filigree structures and their perfect surfaces plus a few more amenities like, for instance, the inconspicuous wiring or the drawers that can be opened from above.’Air 202‘ measures 190 x 172 cm and is available with or without drawers. Two people can sit at it and work creatively vis à vis. Loners will opt for ‚Air 101‘: 220 or 172 x 92 cm should be enough. These tables feature obliquely folded side parts and it’s unmistakable what is the front and what the back. The ‚Air Cont‘ mobile container is definitely a good match for ‚Air 202‘, but ‚Air Board‘ (not shown) may be positioned where it is actually needed. In view of such an abundance of corners and angles and edges, the eye enjoys the calm large round object fixed on the ceiling that bathes everything in a uniform light.
