‚Zabuton‘, an easy chair with casually flung on armrest cushion
The broader the chair, the more will users be inclined to retreat into one of its corners. That was the idea when the designers conceived ‚Nendo‘, combining preferred seating postures of the west and the Far East. In Japanese, the cushion, casually hanging over the corner is called ‘Zabuton’, a kind of futon that is used for sitting on the floor. Seen from a production technique point of view, the futon’s haphazard folds are now “moulded” with polyurethane foam and hence look reliably harmonious on each model. The lounger is available in three versions: without armrests or with armrests on the left or right, enabling the individual elements to be configured as multi-seaters in any desired lengths. A sofa, a chair and occasional tables complete the range.
