Without an Alternative
Washbasin for bathrooms and elsewhere
This is not what a washbasin should look like! ‚Pool‘ breaks off from shapes we are adequately accustomed to and overcomes its fate as being restricted exclusively for application in the bathroom. The box on the wall, matt white or light grey, is made of powder-coated stainless steel and wants to be perceived as a functional object that may be used in all places where running water is needed but you are not in the mood to install a washbasin. The fittings alone will reveal the purpose of ‚Pool‘, seeing that the towel is unconventionally held by a big teakwood clothes peg and the outlet is located at a concealed spot far to the right and some centimetres below the basin’s actual bottom, which may be covered with teak boards same as the soap dish on top. So if all people concerned make prudent use of the white box, the intention could become true and you will not have a typical “washbasin” in the room.
