Open Circles
A formally convincing concept enables showering without doors
If you are afraid of the claustrophobic conditions of shower cubicles with closed doors and detest the unavoidable floods that open showers will entail, you will be glad about the examples shown here offering a transparent alternative that visually enlarges available space in small bathrooms, too. ‚Eclisse‘ (left and top right) features two circular panels of 6 mm thick heat-treated glass, staggered by 90 degrees, leaving open a large enough 39 cm wide access. The overall length of the corner shower is 142 cm and the depth 100 cm. In the case of the walk-in version of the ‚Logic Active‘ system (top left), the shower panel is adjusted to the corner shower such that an aperture of about 50 cm is enough. It is integrated between two circular panels of curved glass with a thickness of 8 mm. The 2 m high glass panels are fastened to the wall and fixed by stainless-steel tracks on their free sides on top. That’s how a full circle is achieved.
