Schreibtisch und Stauraumelemente im Materialmix
Des. Doriana und Massimilliano Fuksas Fab. Haworth GmbH,
Desk and storage element in a mix of materials
The name of this exceptional furniture range was derived from the most densely populated town of the world where modern steel structures meet traditional Indian buildings. In this respect, ‚Mumbai‘ perfectly lives up to its name seeing that the desk features veneered moulded-wood panels embracing a laser-cut steel grid structure, both elements making up an extremely loadbearing and impressive “bridge construction”. One single circumferential line defines the appearance. The upper and lower panels meet on the left and the right-hand side on a common supporting line, thus provoking a vision of extreme formal changes. A circumferential graphic line is also perceived on the shelf cabinets, and here, too, the ends of the moulded-wood cuts pointing downwards are brought together in a floor-based section. Definitely a range for lovers of purist luxury.
