Durchgängige Gestaltungskonzepte liegen stets im Interesse professioneller Planer. Je konsequenter sich ein “alles aus einem Guss” realisieren lässt, desto überzeugender lassen sich Bauherrenwünsche, funktionale Aspekte und formale Zielsetzungen auf den Punkt bringen. Sieht man von der Fernwirkung eines Gebäudes ab, so ist sein Eingangsbereich jener Ort, an dem die Interaktion mit dem Nutzer konkret wird. Schwere Türe mit Sichtklappe oder offene Lobby mit raumhoher Verglasung – stets funktioniert der Eingang als Schwelle. Kommunikationsanlagen unterstützen Einlassfunktionen, und unmittelbar danach “übernehmen” Leitsysteme den Besucher und führen ihn an die gewünschte Stelle im Gebäude, wo u. U. ein weiteres Kommunikationssystem speziellen Zugang managt.

Mit dem ‚Siedle Kommunikations- und Leitsystem‘ auf der Basis der Produktlinie ‚Siedle-Steel‘ steht dem Planer ab sofort die Möglichkeit offen, Kommunikation, Orientierung und Information in einer einzigen, durchgängigen Formensprache zur Wirkung zu bringen. Von der Klingel, der Identifizierung oder dem Posteinwurf an der Fassade bis zum letzten Hinweisschild mit Namenszug, Piktogramm oder Fingerabdruckleser setzt das System nicht auf vorgefertigte Elemente, sondern auf Offenheit. Alle Komponenten werden auf der Basis eines Gestaltungsrasters individuell (auch in Sachen Farbe, Material oder Beschriftung) zusammengestellt, so dass die Integration der erwähnten Systemleistungen zum Beispiel in ein bestehendes CD kein Problem darstellt.

Consistent design concepts are always of interest for professional planners. The demands of builder-owners, functional aspects and formal objectives can be combined most convincingly if things can be materialised uncompromisingly and coherently. Apart from the effect of a building when seen from afar, the entrance area is the location where interaction with the user reaches a concrete state. Be it a heavy door with a window flap or an open lobby with room-high glazing, the entrance will always function as a threshold. Communication systems support access functions and are immediately followed by guidance systems that will lead the visitor to his destination in the building, where, possibly, another communication system will manage further access.

From now onwards, planners have an opportunity to combine the essential elements of communication, orientation and information with the Siedle communication and signage system, based on the ‚Siedle Steel‘ product line, and using a single coherent formal idiom. From doorbell, identification or mail box on the facade to the ultimate sign complete with name or signature, pictogram or fingerprint reader, the system relies not on prefabricated elements but on openness. All components are individually combinable with the aid of a design grid (also as far as colour, material and lettering are concerned) so that integration of the system functions mentioned, for instance in an existing corporate design, will pose no problem.
