Just the Way we Like it
The user takes care of the finish
When glanced at fleetingly, ‚Dolcevita‘ looks like a floor lamp with a shade made out of rice paper. But Theo Sogni uses a tear-proof, heat-resistant and washable polyethylene film as the diffuser, which sits on top of a body made out of polycarbonate. Such films are normally used in building construction. Besides its good technical properties, Sogni also exploits the fact that the film is slip-proof and can be scrunched up. Thus, ‚Dolcevita‘ can shrink from a handsome 210 cm to 170 cm and, of course, can also grow again to its full height. The brightness varies in every state. The luminaire is optionally available with a 7 W LED lamp or a 100 W high-voltage halogen lamp. The latter can be dimmed.
