Blau ist Mode. Wie vor zehn Jahren. Wie vor 100 Jahren. Yves Kleins blaue Schwämme mögen Paola Navone ebenso zu ‚Bluesponge‘ inspiriert haben wie die große Tradition von Blaukeramiken. Das Service lebt von einer gewissen Unschärfe im Dekor. Stets sind es tiefblaue Strukturen auf weißem Grund, mal dicht, mal locker auf der Fahne (Speise- und Suppenteller) oder über die gesamte Fläche (Desserteller) verteilt. Von weitem haben die einzelnen Muster etwas Textiles, erinnern an kostbare Indigo-Blaudrucke. Paola Navone hat eine Leidenschaft für Handwerkskunst. Six plate decors looking like applied with a sponge
Blue is in vogue. Just as ten years ago. Or 100 years ago. Yves Klein’s blue sponges, plus the eminent tradition of blue ceramics, may have inspired Paola Navone to design ‚Bluesponge‘. A certain blur in the decor is the typical characteristic of the set. The all-pervading motifs are deep blue structures on a white background, sometimes densely and sometimes casually applied on the edge (flat and soup plates) or on the whole surface (dessert plates). Seen from afar, the individual patterns look a bit like fabrics, reminiscent of precious indigo blue prints. Paola Navone has a passion for craftsmanship.
