Zwei Farben.

From experiment to series production: three-dimensionally iridescent textiles
‚Fold‘ is a likewise technoid and sensual “textile installation“ that derives its fascination from reflexes, nuances, light and shadow. The three-dimensionally iridescent weave is the first of the ‚Signature Works‘ range, a new project range for textile artists to experiment with fabrics. The plastic effect is achieved by an elaborate production process. Measuring five by five centimetres, half-transparent plastic platelets are inserted in two layers of tulle, which are sewn upon each other in a square grid. In the case of ‚Fold‘, “constructive radical“ Ulf Moritz once again plays with materials that seemingly do not match. The experiment was promoted to the status of an exclusive member of the series collection. Two colours.
