Hier setzt ‚Volume 8_2011‘ an.
Working in a Comfy Ambience
A voluminously upholstered swivel chair for the office and the home office
Modern means of communication contribute considerably to the abolition of the borders between the workplace and the home. The fact that we can technically be contacted always and everywhere has its effects in both directions: we spend more time in the office and/or deal with our tasks at home. For quite some time now, the home office has been an established fact in all walks of life and work. And this is where ‚Volume 8_2011‘ comes in. The office-chair range has a “comfy“ padding and conceals the technology necessary for being comfortably seated instead of formally showing it off quite visibly under the seat as has become the rule in Northern Europe, most of all. So at first glance the chair rather follows the aesthetic ideals of the American and Asian markets. However, the slim backrest acts as a “counterbalance“: The ergonomically styled S sees to it that the design’s formal tension is being kept.
