Milling, Cutting, Folding
Stool made of a plastic sandwich board
The ‚NOOK‘ plastic stool excels by one special feature: the formal idea was converted into a product with just one material. The VarioLine (R) polypropylene sandwich board has already stood the test of time in vehicle manufacturing and boat building. In one production step, two high-strength cover layers are combined with a closed-cell foam core. In order to fold the stool out, the folding pattern will just have to be milled into the material from one side and finally the contours of the top will have to be cut. A central aluminium fitting on the underside firmly fixes the folded structure, which convinces with the dynamic shape of a perfect construction. There is more to come, apart from the stool.
